I've had a couple of projects kicking around for a bit that I think the laser may be a good partner for. I'm really drawn to stained glass, and have wanted to do a project that involves silhouetted cut metal over glass. The burlington logo at the top was a simple image I thought would be interested to replicate in this way as a test subject. I'm often drawn to high contrast, bold imagery, but so much of the lasers strength lies in its ability to make such wildly intricate cuts, so I may also design something with more detail that could still in some way be reminiscent of stained glass (as the wood cut above) or layered against glass. I'm also interested in playing with leather engraving/cutting and would be interested in creating a small usable object (such as the clutch above).
